Project Summary:
Sepsis prediction is a frequent application for machine learning in clinic medicine however there have been several definitions of sepsis and furthermore the implementation of these definitions for defining time zero for sepsis prediction has not been uniform. My colleague Sean Yu published a paper in Critical Care Medicine titled "Comparison of Sepsis Definitions as Automated Criteria". I rewrote his code to be more applicable to various data sets and be more easily modified for the addition of future scoring systems.
